Villers-lès-Nancy

Villers-lès-Nancy is located in the north-east of France, in the south-western suburbs of Nancy. It stretches from Nancy to the Hague plateau and its forest.

The commune is made up of three districts:

  • the Mairie-Placieux district,
  • the Botanical-Village district, which goes from the village to the Botanical Garden of Montet and the Brabois plateau,
  • the district of Clairlieu (gentile "Clairlocois"), in a clearing in the Forêt de Haye, beyond the A33 motorway.

The border municipalities in the Greater Nancy area are : Laxou, Nancy and Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy.

Laxou

Laxou is located in the western conurbation of Nancy, in the north-east of France.
With nearly 16 km2, it is one of the largest municipalities of the agglomeration, two thirds of its territory being covered by the forest of Haye.

The city is located at the foot of the Buthegnémont coast, on the left side of the road from Nancy to Toul.

Laxou shares an urban border with Maxéville to the north and then turning clockwise: Nancy and Villers-lès-Nancy, it is then bordered by Chavigny, Maron, Velaine-en-Haye and Champigneulles in the forest of Haye.

Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy

Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy is located south-west of Nancy. The west ends on a plateau culminating at an altitude of 400 metres, the Brabois plateau, while the east descends towards the Meurthe valley at an altitude of 200 metres without ever reaching it.

The hillsides and orchards joining the plateau and the valley are the historic site of the town where the old village is located.

The town is home to the Nancy-Brabois Technopole on its heights. Hospital, university and economic infrastructures are concentrated there.
